Format

Using Seattle's popular multi-play format, we will play three qualifying rounds followed by playoffs.

Multi-Play

Players will be placed into 4-player groups and assigned a bank of four machines. Each player begins at a different machine as indicated on the scoresheet. Simultaneously, all players start a 4-player game on their assigned machine.

Everyone plays ball 1 on their machine as the first player. When a player's ball ends, they wait near the machine (to guard from random people walking up and plunging the next player's ball) until everyone else in the group is done with ball 1.

Once all four players have finished ball 1, everyone rotates right and plays their ball 1 on the next machine as the second player. When everyone finishes that ball, they rotate right again and play ball 1 as the third player on the next machine. They continue in this fashion until all four players have completed playing all four games.

Note: It is the responsibility of the player who just finished their ball to guard that machine from random people walking up to it and playing. As a result, if anyone other than the next player plunges the ball of the next player, it is the person who just ended their ball and failed to guard the machine who will be disqualified for playing out of turn.

Qualifying

We will play three qualifying rounds of match multi-play with balanced group pairings (the software will attempt to place you with as many different players as possible) and 7-5-3-1 scoring.

Playoffs

Following the qualifying rounds, the top 8 players will advance to A Division playoffs, and the next 8 players to B Division playoffs.

Format will be identical for A and B Division playoffs. Players will be placed into 4-player groups based on their qualifying seed. Each group will play 4 games using the multi-play format, with 4-2-1-0 scoring. At the end of the round, the two players with the highest scores will advance to the final round.

The players who do not advance in will play a consolation round to determine placement. Results from B Division playoffs will be used to determine 9th-16th place overall for IFPA reporting.

Awards

We'll have awards and cash prizes, breakdown TBA.
