Playland-not-at-the-Beach will be open for an extra day of fun every Friday in July this year, and we're celebrating with a pinball tournament!
Friday, July 24th, 2015. Start time is 7pm.
Playland is open starting at noon on Friday, so players are welcome to arrive as early as they like to practice. (The tournament player discount on admission is only available after 6pm, though. So players who arrive beforehand will need to pay the full $15 admission fee.)

$15, includes admission to Playland after 6pm and tournament entry fee. Once you're in, all the pinball is set on free play.
Players who arrive at Playland before 6 will need to pay the normal $15 admission price plus the $7.50 tournament entry fee.
Double elimination with best-of-three matches in the winner's bracket and best-of-one matches in the loser's bracket.
This is an IFPA-sanctioned event and will award points towards your World Pinball Player Ranking.
The $15 entry fee is split between Playland admission (discounted for tournament players) and the prize pot.
There will be awards and cash prizes for the top four players, as well as the highest placing woman player*, youth player (under 16 years old), and novice player (world ranking no better than 2000.).
* Women's champion award sponsored by women's pinball league Belles & Chimes.
Playland-not-at-the-Beach has 30 pinball machines of all eras! Any machine in working condition on the day of the event will be fair game for this tournament, and how many games we use for the tournament depends on attendance.
However, we will have an emphasis on later electro-mechanical and early solid state machines. So if you're making a trip to Playland to practice, you would do well to focus your practice time on the following games: Big Game (Stern, 1980), Circus (Gottlieb, 1980), Cirqus Chimera (Custom, 1979), Flight 2000 (Stern, 1980), Haunted House (Gottlieb, 1982), Hokus Pokus (Bally, 1975), Jungle (Gottlieb, 1972), Pro-Football (Gottlieb, 1973), Roller Coaster (Gottlieb, 1971), Split Second (Stern, 1981), and Travel Time (Williams, 1973).
