The Flipper Room, 1033 Shary Circle, Concord, CA.
8-strike group knockout. Fair strikes scoring, swiss pairing. Rounds alternate between classic and modern machines.
Each round, you'll be placed in a four or three player group. Groups play a single multi-player game on an assigned machine. For four-player groups, the player with the lowest score gets 2 strikes, while those who finished second and third get 1 strike each. In three-player groups, last place gets 2 strikes and second place gets 1 strike. After the first round, you'll be paired with players who have a similar number of strikes as you.
Once you have 8 strikes, you're out. Last player standing is the winnner!

Novice award goes to the highest finishing player not ranked in the IFPA world rankings top 1500 or the Match Play ratings top 3000.
The Flipper Room has 30+ games spanning all eras. See Pinball Map for the current lineup. Nip-It, Baby Pac-Man, and Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World will not be used in the tournament.
The tournament will include electro-mechanical, solid state, and modern machines. Rounds will alternate between classics (1985 and earlier) and modern machines.
