A pinball tournament for women only

Date and Time

Saturday, March 7th, 2015.

Start time is 2pm, and registration will open at 1pm.

Scarlet City is open starting at 8am on Saturdays, so players are welcome to arrive as early as they like to practice.

Eligibility

The tournament is open exclusively to woman players.

Location

Scarlet City Espresso Bar, 3960 Adeline Street, Emeryville, CA.

Cost to Play

$10 entry fee, plus the cost of games played during the tournament.

Format

Three hours of one on one match play. Each round, you will be paired up with another player and assigned a machine. You will play one two player game on that machine, and whoever gets the higher score is the winner. Every round, players will be paired against opponents who have won a similar number of games.

At the end of three hours, the eight players who have won the most number of games will advance to a round of playoffs which will determine the final rankings.

Awards

There will be cash prizes and award plaques for places 1st through 3rd, as well as for the highest placing novice player. To be eligible for the novice award, a player must have a world pinball player ranking no better than 2,000.

Additionally, we have a few other fun prizes that will be awarded to some lucky participating players via a random drawing.

Current machines at Scarlet City are Demolition Man (Williams, 1994), Star Trek: The Next Generation (Williams, 1993), Terminator 2 (Williams, 1991), Genesis (Gottlieb, 1986), and Space Invaders (Bally, 1980).
